For aficionados of the great outdoors, Sackville has many great spaces to jog, especially the 5.3 kilometer Sackville Lakes Park and Trails and the Fort Sackville Walkway which runs for 6 kilometers along the lovely Sackville River. Both trails are popular in all seasons for walking, hiking, bird watching, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Many neighbourhoods have trails linking them, great for dog-walking and jogging, and creating mini-forests for kids in search of adventure in a safe place.

Mom-and-Pop restaurants are plentiful in Sackville, especially along the main drag. Wasabi serves dynamite sushi from the freshest seafood, Mezza offers fresh, delicious, Lebanese fare, and Long Dragon and King Town restaurants have you covered for authentic — and Canadian — Chinese. Thai Ivory serves delicious Asian food for special occasions, while Burrito Jax and Pomodoro Pizzeria are perfect choices when you’re in a rush and want cheap and cheerful food.

Sackville has plenty of fast food locations, and you’ll never have to travel far in any direction to find something you need, for shopping opportunities abound, and many big box stores are nearby. One of the best things about Sackville is that it leads to other beautiful places — it’s just a quick trip to the gorgeous Annapolis Valley, with its majestic rolling hills and scenic wineries, or the world’s highest tides on the Bay of Fundy.
